During the early days of July, 1947 something happened in the New Mexico desert that has captured the attention of UFO investigators, book publishers, all major news outlets, the United States Air Force, the Untied
States Genral Accounting Office, a US Congressman, the FBI, the CIA, the public and probably a host of alphabet agencies that are completely unknown to the public at large. What was it? Well, that depends on
when you ask someone and who that someone is.
What we do know for a fact is that on July 8, 1947 United States Air Force had one of it's most classified squadrons stationed near Roswell New Mexico
and the public relations officer for that base issued a press release claiming the AirForce had recovered a "flying disk". The press release was quickly retracted and the incident almost disappeared from mind and
memory until more recent history. |
